I had never done MDA before getting these, used a reagent-kit to be sure, and put one down, for science…and only take off the single star from a 5-star because PEA’s aren’t usually my thing, and I haven’t had a good time on them yet; couple of MDMA-misses over the years (everybody else had a great time, I felt sweaty, thirsty, and gross…), 6-APB wasn’t bad at all for awhile, then went kinda dry with Benzodifuran-blanket bans taking away that golden calf…a few others. Then, from the SDC treasure trove, I got some genuine Methylene-Dioxyl-Amphetamine. Hot dog, the real thing, Hunter S. Thompson grade MDA…after three seperate attempts I say “…croak this lousy speed…” 3 At-Bats with MDA over the last few months and the verdict is stilluch the same…I’m a downer-type guy, and that appears to extend to psychedelics–even the more subdued among higher-paced trypatmines like the LSD, experienced hundreds of times, is a bit much for my sensibilities these days and while I sought out high-speed trips like LSD and DMT in my 20’s and 30’s with abandon, trips like M (or M for that matter…) are simply too much for me now. I missed any glory to be had from such compounds; and this makes me sad. The product itself is spot-on. Perfectly good shit for people into this kind of thing. My own reaction to it and all phenethylamines save basic d-amphetamine for work purposes, was a bit crampy and dehydrating, but in my own personal history, that is a PEA’s (Psychedelic-Empathogenic-Amphetamine’s, like MDA or MDMA) mark of greatness for a good many others. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t take things like this often and so upon entry into my brain, the molecule’s are active as a mofo, as Hoffman put it upon stumbling across LSD-25 at Sandoz and bicycling home when the Acid hit him, MDA for me is always “…Possession by a demon…”, and not a pleasant ride for me at all. When the PEA goes to work on my opened consciousness, it is often combative with what it may find there. Suffice it, ONE of these 100mg caps is nearly always a “Oh shit, I did it this time…” experience. And, for me and the othet Valium-children who find the complete detachment from reality of a thing like Ketamine or DMT wholly wonderful where others dare not tread those waters…I am the same with Methylene-x-Amphetamine, it is the place I simply cannot be comfortable in. MDA is one of those compounds that is EXPERIENCED when taken, not to be used casually as MDMA unfortunately is for a good many of it’s audience. The user lives THROUGH an MDA trip, takes away what they can but it should be noted that doses far above 100mgs are for me anyway, a harrowing experience. Another note of warning; Amphetamine doesn’t respond to Benzodiazepine the same way 5HT-theorized binding tryptamines like Psilocybin do, so if things get too hot to handle out there, you kinda just have to see it through. And to think at one point in my life, my goal was to try DOM, 20-some hours of more intense tripping than this…and regular-ass MDA had me in tears. Don’t underestimate this compound because it travels in the same circles as the much milder MDMA…MDA will humble even a seasoned tripper. Cute name, and like 2C-E or 5-MeO-DMT, there is something to be had through tough trips, and I do kind of like it, the intensity and visuals are kinda fun if you can let go, but like Mescaline, MDA has a lingering body load and insomnia in the wings of every trip. Not like cactae, where you kinda puke and be done with it; MDA is rough to stomach the whole way through. As for the sleeplessness, Be ready to stay up passed dawn with this one. It is still worth trying out MDA for nostalgic purposes if nothing else, like Quaaludes…um. don’t do Quaaludes, they haven’t been made since the mid-80’s and anything being pressed as such now, could be anything.
