Prospect Hill Estate 4th December 1880 – Kew

Description 43 allotments, 5 of which appear to have been sold, are for auction in December 1880. Advertisements ran from mid October 1880 and for a while after the auction date saying the the few remaining allotment were for sale at the auction terms and prices. The subdivision starts on the south side of Bulleen Road, now High Street, between Highbury Grove and Mary Street and heads south towards Cotham Road. It extends along both sides of Highbury Grove and Mary Street to about level with the Kew Baptist Church. It appears that the auctioneer has written in the sale price of the block but in code. The name of the purchasers have been recorded as well.
